1/2 cup fresh minced onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tablespoon oil
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
1 tablespoon EACH: fresh chopped parsley and water
1 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon EACH: oregano, marjoram and sugar
1/8 teaspoon pepper
in a medium saucepan, saute onions and garlic in hot oil. add remaining ingredients; stir well to combine all seasonings. cover, simmer for 20 minutes.
